Autumn is a time for gathering our energy inwards. Detoxyfying our system and taking in pure Ki (energy). The focus is on breathing and letting go. Elimination, getting rid of what no longer serves us.
In yoga we focus on the lungs so lots of pranayama, breath work, and opening and closing flows centred around the rib cage. So lots of chest openers and arm stretches and strengthening. Meditations focus on letting go and creating boundaries.
Meridians
The lung meridian runs from two inches underneath the lateral collar bone up across the front of the shoulder and down the inside lateral arm and ends at the thumb.
The large intestine meridian runs from the outside of the index finger al the way up the lateral outside of the arm at in front of the shoulder over the cheek to the side of the nostril.
