Grounding Ourselves...

If you often find yourself being accident prone, too much  in your head, constantly worrying about things or tensing your shoulders then this workshop is for you as we work on bringing our energy down out of our head and into our lower body to help us ground and nourish our Yin energy.

It's the transition time between Yang and Yin where we bring our energy back down from the highs of the summer. We ground ourselves, strengthen our self esteem and nurture self love as we gradually slow down in pace. It's a time to create comfort, stability and balance in our lives in preparation for the coming autumn and winter.

Late Summer belongs to the Earth element in TCM with associated organs of the the Stomach and Spleen. So nourishment is the key! Nourishment not only from food but from all other mind/body activities that soothe your soul and ground you. You can expect a more nurturing workshop slowing down in pace slightly and ending with a nurturing Yoga Nidra!

What to expect:

  • Seasonal Yoga Sequence
  • Grounding Pranayama
  • Meditation
  • Dao-In and Qigong energy exercises
  • Tennis Ball Massage
  • Nurturing Yoga Nidra
  • Information and handouts on the 5 elements, lifestyle and nutrition
  • Social break for freshly made nourishing juice and tea which is provided

All mind and body work is carefully structured towards balancing the Earth element to help us ground and feel nourished.
